Heilfontein Country Escape

Heilfontein (Holy Fountain) is a working protea farm, between Caledon (23km) and Hermanus (35km), where we harvest Fynbos flowers from plantations and indigenous bush. Glynis and Lindsay offer a unique farm-stay experience.

Heilfontein provides 3 different self-catering options:

• The Lodge – a luxurious homestead with 4 double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom (sleeping 8)
• The Log Cabin – an authentic wooden log cabin with 3 bedrooms and a shared bathroom (sleeping 6)
• The Hermitage – a remote and romantic getaway (sleeping 2), located on our border of our farm with sweeping views of the flowers, river and mountains.

Here, at this idyllic country escape, you have the opportunity to enjoy life on a working farm and relax in tranquil, comfortable lodgings designed to appeal to your individual tastes.  In total, we can accommodate 16 people.  Perfect for guests looking for tranquil, comfortable and scenic lodging, away from the city’s hustle and bustle.

Heilfontein is situated on both sides of the scenic Elandskloof River. The farm is and overlooks a river and wetland with plenty of birds.  It is a beautiful location which we invite you to share with us.

Guests are welcome to walk and cycle around the farm, swim in the dams and river pools and fish on a ‘catch and release’ basis. The nearby towns of Hermanus and Caledon also offer Heilfontein Country Escape’s guests the opportunity to enjoy many excellent restaurants and wine farms.
